Reading the dust jacket,I have to say I would probably have never read this book-just because of the subject. It was handed to me by a neighbor with her insistence that I would like it. So I open it up and am hooked from the beginning. I finish it in 1 1/2 days. The perspectives of the 3 women are so different yet are explaining the same thing. It brought to mind the hardships the black community faced post-slavery. It made me realize that there was sometimes true affection between “the help” and their employers and the children; along with the difficulty and uncertainty of their place in society. I really did enjoy this book and have to say it will probably be one of my lifetime favorites. I will encourage everyone I know to read it.

I would highly recommend this to any who dislikes mounting the GPS on the windshield. It doesn’t leave any marks. It’s easy to see as the screen is closer and doesn’t block your view. Also easy for both the passenger and the driver to see and use.

I bought this card just October 2009. I used this card on my Canon EOS T1i. At first, some pictures got corrupted every now and then. Then two days ago, when I format the card on my camera since it is always acting up, the camera cannot save pictures to it anymore. When I try to transfer image the pictures in my computer, the data cannot be read by the computer anymore.

I also have the 16GB of the same brand SD card, which I bought last December. No such luck! My T1i almost always cannot recognize the card. I have to turn on and off the camera or format it repeatedly before it can recognize it. I think I’m done with this brand. I ordered the Sandisk SD card now. I hope I will have some luck on this brand.

I completely enjoyed this book from the perspective of the solidarity shared amongst the women characters. My feelings whilst reading it transcended the black/white story line. It had the same feeling of sisterhood that I felt when reading Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. These were strong women with a moral code and I admired them. As I closed the book for the final time, I found myself wishing they were my group of women friends.

I like this mixer very much. I have a standing Kitchen Aide for big tasks but this mixer is great for small jobs. I especially like that it comes with a handy storage case so all pieces are stored together. I think this is a very good mixer for the price

I bought this for my wife’s laptop that only came with trial’s for the programs. It was delivered very quickly and had no problems using it. These programs are something that all computers need.
Performance Tool Power Steering

This machine does an excellent job cleaning. However I gave it 3 stars because the life span is less than 2 years. I’ve already gone through a couple of these machines including the one that broke yesterday when spin brush quits spinning. The same thing happened to my previous one. If they make this a lot more durable, I would have given it 5 stars.
KitchenAid Ultra Power Stand

The Garmin Portable Friction Mount is great for applications requiring portability, such as using the same GPS in different cars. For us, it replaces a windshield mount. Advantages of the friction mount are faster setup and takedown, no occasional unwanted separation from the windshield and no marks on the windshield. It can be placed most anywhere on the top of the dashboard, and is very stable. The only disadvantage is that stability comes at the price of it being somewhat bulky.

This card is a really really good deal. I went to the supermarket and they were trying to sell 2GB cards for $15. I bought this 8GB card from Amazon for my underwater digital camera, and was able to use the highest pixel settings. I could save my pics with really good resolution. My camera, which normally would have taken around 200 pictures was able to take over 600+! (I don’t actually know the maximum that my camera can hold because for my entire week long trip, I never once had to change my memory card. I felt bad for my poor friend who had to keep switching out her 2GB cards.

The price Amazon offers for this card (currently approx $25 with free shipping is totally worth it.)
