I received this kindle last Christmas from my grandfather and it is by far the best gift I think I have ever received.I love how you can get almost every book online and its actually a reasonable price and if the publisher hasn’t made a kindle version yet but there is a PDF version floating around online then its simple enough to purchase the software that will convert it for you. Whats better is, being a college student I have a lot of text books to carry around, well since most text books come with a CD version it was simple enough to convert it from PDF onto the kindle. SOOOOOO MUCH EASIER and convenient!
I will admit though that last month my kindle was bumped and got an odd horizontal line across the screen that just wouldnt go away. After finding out that its a fairly common defect I contacted Amazon. Within 10 minutes I received a call from them and everything was squared away, the sent me a new kindle (arrived 2 days after the call) and were deeply apologetic about the inconvenience. This product is WONDERFUL!! GREAT FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS!

Hello THE NETWORK LINUX
We did a lot of research before deciding on this vacuum. My main concern was pet hair. The Hoover Tempo Widepath did not disappoint! I love it because I can actually see the cleaner carpet when I’ve finished. Not so much with my old vacuum. I used it on Berber carpet as well as the linoleum floors. It really gets the job done! The only thing it needs is a longer cord. And again, Amazon proved to have the best price and even with FREE shipping, we received the vacuum very quickly.

Great product. Love the sound quality and storage capacity. Only problem I have is iTunes! If I do anything to the setlist on my computer, it affects the iTouch.

100 Linux Server Hacks forever
If you have the Hacker attitude and need a methodology to use elegant solutions in a challenging situation and also have important administrative tasks to do, this is the book! Rob Flickenger shares trade secrets in an educational, entertaining way. This practical book is about becoming a Server Hacker in the creative practice of secure system administration. The author goes through Server Basics and Revision Control. He also discusses the important Backing Up process. Covered subjects are: Networking, Monitoring and Information Servers. Preventing runaway processes, automating logout of idle users, blocking DoS attacks with iptables are also described.Basic documentation online helps, but there’s a lot beyond basics we need to know. This authoritative text comes from someone with hands-on, real-world experience. This kind of know-how is what was captured in this manual. Hacks are sub-tle, many are less obvious, yet all demonstrate the power and flexibility of the GNU/Linux system. The book helps one manage Web installations running Apache, MySQL, and other Open Source tools. Written for users who understand the ba-sics of networking, security and Linux, this valuable book is built upon the expertise of an author who knows what he does. A competent sysadmin appreciates how much a Linux server is a system capable of high performance while routing smoothly large amounts of data through a network connection. Setting up and maintaining a Linux server implies under-standing hardware, the ins and outs of the Linux OS kernel along with its supporting utilities and its layers of applications software. This becomes easier from admins with hands-on, real-world experience like Rob Flickenger. Linux Server Hacks solves practical daily problems for the Linux sysadmin. Every hack is read in minutes and this saves hours of searching for the correct solution. O’Reilly’s Hacks Series reclaims the term “hacking” for the [good], white hat, geeks. Hackers use and apply ingenuity to solv

I come here to write this review, of course, “very late”….and so, perhaps many will not read what I have to say about this book.
Being an avid reader, with interests all over the “map” so to speak, I have read God-Knows-How-Many stories in my 62+ years. Some deeply moving, others barely creating or leaving the slightest ripple in my conscious brain. Some, seemingly, with the power to change the way I see things or think about things…sometimes subtly, and in others there are major thought differences after finishing the book. This book has affected me deeply.
The last book to touch me this way was some months back when I read “The Piano Shop on the Left Bank” by Thad Carhart The Piano Shop on the Left Bank: Discovering a Forgotten Passion in a Paris Atelier which I heartily recommend to you.
With “Water for Elephants” Sara Gruen creates the long-forgotten days of the Train Circus, and all that life entailed in those days…from the impossible “set-ups”, “knock-downs”, and in many cases “hasty retreats” from any particular chosen town before the authorities arrived upon the scene.
“Hard Luck Days” certainly would be a fitting genre to place this awesome story into. And, of course, with the depression, etc., they truly were hard luck days, for everyone involved with the exception of perhaps Uncle Al with his penchant for stealing, skimming, using and abusing everyone on the show. We also come to know August and his sickness that continually creates misery and unhappiness both for him, and also for those closest to him. There is Marlena, August’s wife and performing partner with her performing horses, and later her act with Rosie the Elephant (a charming, and all-knowing wonderful beast if ever there was one). There are dozens and dozens of other characters, distributed throughout all levels of the show, from performers right on down to the dung-shovelers and the guys who do nothing but put up and take down the tents for the big top, day in and day out endless

The book Artemis Fowl is a quick fictional read. In its plot are fairies, elves, sprites, gnomes, dwarves, and goblins. Artemis Fowl is the main character, a criminal mastermind who plans to steal gold from the fairies in order to make his family rich.
Artemis managed to find a fairy and get the fairy’s Book, a book that every fairy carries around. The Book held all the secrets of fairies. Unfortunately for Artemis, the book was written in the “old tongue”, the fairy language, which no human understood. However, this was no large obstacle for a genius like Artemis. He quickly decoded the book and used the secrets described in it to capture a fairy (captain Holly Short) to hold ransom for a ton (literally) of 24 carat gold. In the end, the fairies got back half of the gold and a dwarf stole the other half.
For me, this book is as interesting and as attractive as Harry Potter. However, if you prefer to read realistic stories, I do not suggest this book for you.
