Information about KitchenAid Hard Gourmet Essentials
After a broken shoulder and crushed muscles left me too weak to lift or scrub my wonderful, heavy, thick-bottomed stainless steel cookware set, we tried out a KitchenAid and a Calphalon hard anodized pan. We then purchased this awesome KitchenAid set because of the silicone handle advantage and because, as a former kitchen designer, I knew that for several decades KitchenAid had made the best dishwasher and mixer on the market. I loved that the non-stick properties of this set allowed me to now cook without any oils (healthier). There was only a minimal adjustment or learning curve from my high-temp tolerant stainless set, I only had to reduced or fluctuate temperatures slightly. The pain and strain of pre-washing/scrubbing my stainless pans was replaces with a few seconds of effortless swiping, even after my son baked sticky caramel rolls in the large skillet! Thanks to the silicone handles I no longer needed to reach for a pot holder before touching the handles (except for oven baking, which will always require pot holders). This set also has clear glass lids, which I consider an essential necessity in cookware. The cooking performance of this set has been so outstanding that I don’t intend to go back to my stainless steel set after my shoulder and arm heals.
Also, knowing that our 3 `flying the nest’ children have had trouble learning to cook on the thin, affordable cookware that they could afford (all 3 were constantly burning their food), and their inexpensive sets have been a waste of money because their cheap cookware sets only last about a year; we took advantage of the outstanding Amazon discounts and bought the KitchenAid 12 piece hard anodized sets for them. They love their Kitchenaid hard anodized cookware as much as we do. With better cookware they are cooking successfully and are also saving themselves a lot of money by eating healthier, home cooked meals and they won’t waste even more money by repeatedly replacing poor quality cookware.
Don’t think about 80297 Essentials KitchenAid Gourmet
I have had this set for three months and love it! It cooks evenly, fast (on medium to high heat), and nothing sticks to it. It also looks great on my ceramic black and stainless steel stove.

KitchenAid Pasta Roller and model
and am just waiting to cook the noodles for dinner. While I have the KPEX set, this fettuccine cutter is one of the cutters in the set and it worked perfectly! I had never made pasta with my KitchenAid and this was the very first stab at it. I just got my new toys 2 days ago. It took me MAYBE an hour to mix the dough (semolina) roll and cut. It may have been even less time because I wasn’t timing myself, but there’s no doubt it will be faster on the next go around because I was reading the wrong recipe from the book, ARGGGGGGGH! and had to spend more time fixing my error….but once the dough was the correct recipe, everything was a BREEZE. Easy, easy, easy. I can’t wait to taste it. Homemade Fettuccine Alfredo for dinner! Mmmmmmmm.
The rolling of the dough is FUN. The cutting of the dough was FAST. The one thing I think I did wrong was I had floured and folded my sheets and let them sit while I rolled the entire batch of dough and 2 of the sheets stuck together and it was difficult getting them apart….but I DID. Just make sure to use plenty of flour on your sheets or roll, cut, roll, cut….which I think would be a pain because you would have to change attachments every 5 seconds. The next time I do this I will probably cut my sheets to the length I need (instead of folding), flour and stack the cut sheets until I cut them. OR, if you have the room, just lay all the rolled sheets out flat and do not fold them or stack them.
I LOVE these attachments! I’ve had my KA mixer for 15 years and these have got to be my favorite attachments. If you’re thinking about this set, don’t hesitate. I highly recommend them! I bought my KPEX set (which is the roller, ALL the pasta cutters AND the ravioli maker) from an online kitchen supply place for $45.00 less than KA or any other place is selling it for. Amazon doesn’t sell that set. Google “Katom” and you’ll find the complete set, if you’re interested.
Happy pasta making!

I have a beagle mix and the FURminator really works well for him – you wouldn’t think a little beagle could shed so much, but he does! I’m not really sure why this works so much better than other combs and brushes, all I know is that it does. my dog doesn’t seem to mind it either – he sniffs it and tries to lick it sometimes – so I let him sniff and get comfortable with it and then I start to brush him gently – no need to put a lot of pressure into the brushing action, a little bit will get a lot of fur off. I recommend it to anyone with pets – they have smaller versions for small dogs and cats as well as huge ones for the bigger dogs. give it a try and you’ll see what I mean! happy brushing!

No more .. KitchenAid Series s Cook
I bought this because I bought a new laptop since I started going back to school. The laptop came with the 30 day trial, I liked it much better then the 2003 version I had been using so I decided to upgrade to the full package. Buying it through Amazon I saved a lot of money almost 50% less on here then in the big retail chain.

Take care of Lifetime Brands Kitchenaid KG820OB
This product was above expectations for cleaning my carpets. I was experimenting with the attachment hose and through my own fault failed to secure the sliding plastic attachment piece down enough in the collection tank, but the machine worked just great on my stains when I fixed my suction problem. I used a 4 in 1 all purpose cleaner in the machine which is what I used on my hands and knees and found this machine did the job without buying the expensive recommended cleaners. Do a hand and knee sample test first. bleach products can cause additional staining and too many bubbles may ruin your machine so don’t use any detergents that foam up to much; don’t even try dish detergent it will stop this machine like it stops a dishwasher. Hey this is a do-it-yourself machine so if you don’t have a little common sense call a professional. I failed to believe all the reviews about leaks and was glad I did. If I made this Steamvac you’ld never get it for this price.

I can not heap any more praise on this book that hasn’t already been written. All I can say is that I couldn’t put the book down. At times there was so much tension between some of the characters, that I actually had to pause and get the courage up to finish the next few pages. Help is a classic! I downloaded it onto an iPod Touch using the ibook app. Great way to read when your on the go.
