Filter Deluxe 7 Piece series
I had some problems installing this, had to be done twice. I wish it would integrate or replace my Microsoft Office 2003 but instead I seem to have both on my computer so when I open an old document, it’s opened with ‘03 and sometimes I accidentally open the old Word. I wish I just had ONE Word so things didn’t get confused like this. Could be doing something wrong, but it should be easier than this, it’s not like I never use computers, I’ve been using Microsoft and Word for at least 15 years.
Other than that, I didn’t like the tool bar change from 2003 to 2007 that took a lot of getting used to and still have to spend some effort finding somethings. With use, as with everything, it gets easier. And all in all it is fine, it’s not like I would go back to only using 2003.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a book that I truly loved (probably not after A Thousand Splendid Sons). I really really liked this book. Couldn’t put it down once I got into it. I love Minny’s character (what she does to Hilly was just too funny…I had to re-read that part several times, just because I was laughing so hard). What I like about this book is that it doesn’t just portray the bad & the ugly about relations.. it does have good stories about the help and their employers. For instance, Stockett touched on how black people were lynched, shot, abused – verbally & physically, how afraid they were of the white folks, but she didn’t dwell on it too much to bring the reader down. If Aibileen got mad about something Miss Hilly or Miss Leefolt said, Stockett would balance it out by showing the deep love between Mae Mobley and her Aibee. It is very apparent that relations were complex between the blacks and whites living in the South. The former weren’t treated like slaves (Skeeter’s dad fully lending his support to his workers, how the maids weren’t expected to work 7 days a week – 20 hrs in the day, etc), but they were definitely oppressed emotionally so that they couldn’t aspire to be anything more than hired help.
I loved one line in the book where Aibileen tells Minny that the lines between people are only in their heads, created by people a long time ago to segregate themselves from others by class, race, color and sex. In a way, although we have come a very long way from where we all were 50 years ago, I feel that it still somewhat exists today…it’s not apparent, but is camouflaged under the term “modern & advanced era.” For example, I sometimes read peoples’ comments on Obama in articles and their post-comments, and truly about half of them don’t even concentrate on his politics, but on his being of a different race. Women are considered equals with men and is definitely practised today, but underneath the surface, a lot of us still have to work hard

Sick about Deluxe Filter 7 Piece
It took me a while to warm up to reading this book. I didn’t have high expectations, but decided to given in to the hype hoping I would be mildly entertained, it’s a teenage book how bad can it be? WOW! I am concerned for my teenage nieces now. There are so many bad messages being sent to teenager in this novel, I really think the writter should have taken her time to consider her target. First, Edward is NOT a teen, he may look like one, but he is over 100 years old!!! and should not be anywhere near teenage girls!!! That is NOT LOVE! and I don’t want teenage girls to think it’s acceptable in any form. Second, Bella- don’t know where to begin with this girl, the other reviews said it best, whinning, martyr, hormonal, irrational, etc. NO girl should have such an unhealthy fixation on a man, she is very selfish, she wants everything her way or she will do anything to get it regardless of what pain it may cause her family, Edward, Jacob whom she claims to love so much. I don’t think she is as much a doormat to Edward as Edward is to her. He gives in to her demands like the parent of a spoil brat. The writer’s attempt to give her enough guilt, concern for her parents and friends are so weak, just made her more annoying. Jacob, could have been a very good character, I could have rooted for him, but again, the writter made him into another selfish, manipulative bully. Jacob wants to force his kind of love on Bella, she loves him as a friend, but he is determined to have more, no matter how many times she tells him “no” to the point of kissing her against her will, forcefully, she hurt her hand trying to stop him (this part is really disturbing to me, it’s a symptom of a larger problem in real life)and her father’s reaction to it is very “boys locker room”. Jacob again gets to kiss her by emotionally black mailing her with the old “if you won’t be with me, I will let myself be killed”. I had “Jacob” type of friends in my life and is not romantic at all. Is HF075 Vicks for Filter suck?
but probably better! I really knew almost nothing about these books other than it’s about a young criminal mastermind, basically he’s an all-around genius. The fact that the story contains fantasy creatures like fairies and centaurs was something by which I was unaware and pleasantly surprised.
The story starts cryptically with young Artemis and his bodyguard Butler searching for something of great value (for a host of reasons). Artemis’ plot to kidnap a fairy for the ransom gold unfolds and seems inplausible in our real world but just another day at the office for the boy. And one seemingly flaw in Artemis’ plan keeps you guessing, resulting in astonished glee at his genius.
The story sucks you in and is ejoyable to the core. The characters are believable and identifiable. I enjoyed this so much more than I would have imagined and I think you will too. (By the way, the audio versions are excellent; the narrarator really bring the characters to life.)
