An excellently written and very interesting story which actually does have an unexpected ending!

However, there is a great deal of violence, sexual violence and sadistic behavior in general.

I wish that this excellent writer could write a book for adults which wouldn’t call for reading so much trashy stuff. I’m a great believer in “garbage in, garbage out” and wish that my recollectons of this otherwise terrific book didn’t include the above trash, and/or large sections which I skipped just because I didn’t want to put such stuff into my poor brain to remember! This was such a wonderful story that I feel badly that I find it necessary to warn about the trashy side of it.

The special features will be commented on at the end but I want to start this off by telling you about what I NOW know about rarescope. I looked on here and saw that somebody has done reviews for both of the rarescope releases, sadly he did not comment on the movie so I had to go and experience it for myself. I saw it at best buy for 5.99 and had heard it was AWESOME(by that oen guy), I also heard that showdown at the cottonmill was good from a nut I know. I am very dissapointed though with this release. THERE ARE NO SUBTITLES. There is not even an english freaking dub. So your saying sir jethro, how did you watch this movie. Well there are IMBEDDED subs that are around 80% readable. And the only reason you can read them at all is because the picture has been restored very nicely. I was going to come on here and give this movie a 5 no matter what because I am VERY VERY VERY + VERY VERY VERY happy that a company like brentwood has stepped it up and wants to rival celestial. And though they have no chance in hell at doing that, I will certainly buy these movies over celestial. The reason why is the ULTRA RARENESS OF THESE MOVIES. I will cover this when I go over the trailer package.

Ok, so first of all, this is an OLD movie. You can tell right away with how beatiful the scenery is. There is a shot of a horse carriage going down a dirt road with green grass on the sides and it is EASILY the most beautiful image I have seen in a movie for a long time. Now if you are not familiar with the ku lung novel movies than I would be glad to enlighten you. Most people know of the crouching dragon movie, and while the MA’s in that kicks the shit out of this, it is not true to the ku lung novels. It may have been one of his stories, but it is not the type he is known for. The Lost Sword Ship

It took me a while to warm up to reading this book. I didn’t have high expectations, but decided to given in to the hype hoping I would be mildly entertained, it’s a teenage book how bad can it be? WOW! I am concerned for my teenage nieces now. There are so many bad messages being sent to teenager in this novel, I really think the writter should have taken her time to consider her target. First, Edward is NOT a teen, he may look like one, but he is over 100 years old!!! and should not be anywhere near teenage girls!!! That is NOT LOVE! and I don’t want teenage girls to think it’s acceptable in any form. Second, Bella- don’t know where to begin with this girl, the other reviews said it best, whinning, martyr, hormonal, irrational, etc. NO girl should have such an unhealthy fixation on a man, she is very selfish, she wants everything her way or she will do anything to get it regardless of what pain it may cause her family, Edward, Jacob whom she claims to love so much. I don’t think she is as much a doormat to Edward as Edward is to her. He gives in to her demands like the parent of a spoil brat. The writer’s attempt to give her enough guilt, concern for her parents and friends are so weak, just made her more annoying. Jacob, could have been a very good character, I could have rooted for him, but again, the writter made him into another selfish, manipulative bully. Jacob wants to force his kind of love on Bella, she loves him as a friend, but he is determined to have more, no matter how many times she tells him “no” to the point of kissing her against her will, forcefully, she hurt her hand trying to stop him (this part is really disturbing to me, it’s a symptom of a larger problem in real life)and her father’s reaction to it is very “boys locker room”. Jacob again gets to kiss her by emotionally black mailing her with the old “if you won’t be with me, I will let myself be killed”. I had “Jacob” type of friends in my life and is not romantic at all. I was looking for a pocket pedometer for a contest we are having at work. The pedometers that were provided worked ok, but wouldn’t stay put and ended up dropping to the floor and didn’t keep a correct count from that point on. I googled for some reviews on products and this one kept coming up highly rated so I gave it a shot. I LOVE it! I love that it keeps a great count and can just slide into my pocket or purse. It does have the belt clip option though for those days I don’t have a pocket. Works great and I love that it automatically resets itself at midnight and stores the last 7 days of results! I highly recommend this product!

I found this book in a dusty little corner of my local used bookstore (yes, they do still exist) and was intrigued by the title and premise. A few months later I have now read the entire trilogy and must say it really speaks directly to the soul, bypassing all the mental gatekeeping we humans come up with to deny ourselves direct contact with the source of our being. I’m not one of those folks who think that all religions are only in the business of building their own power by feeding gullible minds with fear and judgment — there are certainly very enlightened folks with open hearts and minds within organized religion. Yet, I’ve always been skeptical of the ones who try to tell you that their views are absolute and threaten you if you choose a different vehicle to find love and meaning in life. It’s just too obvious that anyone who tries to tell you that God is vengeful or would exclude some of us is just insecure in themselves. As Michael Franti says: “God is too big for just one nation, and God is too big for just one religion.” Yell Fire!

What tells me that Neale Donald Walsch has really tapped into the essence of God is that the books read as refreshingly and truthfully in 2009 as they must have when they first came out in the mid-90s. This phenomenon in itself is discussed in the book — the fact that God really is timeless and nameless. Too often we’re stuck in the dualistic mechanisms of our mind that tells us to divide everything — yesterday versus tomorrow, us versus them, believers vs non-believers. In that very same mindset we also like to look at “God” as a particular thing or person, something we can imagine or portray with our thoughts. And too often, religious texts create the same kind of hierarchy of spirit that we assign to our social structures on earth.
