I happened to see this book with a cardiology resident..owing to its sleek size he was carrying it in his pocket. Although the edition was 5th, i was so impressed with the chapters on beta blockers, ace inhibitors..Not only every chapter covers the basic pharmacokinetics and dynamics of each group in detail, but each drug has been considered individually as well. Add to it, the references to the clinical trials conducted, the book is indispensable. Especially the last chapter “which therapy for which condition”, is a section for quick reviews before grand rounds. I made up my mind that very instant..this book is a MUST have!
Drugs for the Heart

Got these to connect all my new stuff. Samsung plasma tv, onkyo sound system, ps3, satellite reciever. I bought six cables I think for a grand total of about $16 and they work great. A little light on construction quality but for the price they are awesome. Get full 1080p resolution and 6 cables for half the price of 1 at most places. I heard a few bad things about them but my experience has been good so far.

I bought this based on the awesome reviews, and I’m not disappointed. I especially liked the review by the owner of a motel who said this is the best vacuum he’s ever tried. I can’t think of a better proving ground than duty at a motel.

The unit has basic features, no light, and no fancy looks. That’s fine with me. I wanted a vacuum that simply cleans well, with no B.S. or hype. That’s exactly what I got. This thing has incredible suction, with a smooth sounding, powerful motor. It lifts the carpet fibers and rips the dirt out *right now*. It does an amazing job on carpeted stairs with the T-shaped attachement–my stairs haven’t looked that clean in three years.

I also own a Hoover Steam-vac which is an awesome compliment to this vacuum. They’re a deadly duo in the fight against carpet grime.

I bought the generic HEPA bag package of 9 bags for $12 and I confirmed that the bags fit. That’s outstanding dust filtration for minimal cost.

Very glad I bought this vacuum.

a pedometer is important (more than you know)…..I am a young stroke survivor and just learned to walk again. I set goals gor myself everyday about the number of steps I should take and I gotta say, I had many pedometers, but this one is the BEST. I like it that if you shake it, it doesn’t add steps to the count. I don’t know how before my stroke that I never had a pedometer because It also makes me strive to beat the previous’ day steps (It has a memory of 1 week)

and FYI
*1 mile = 2,000 to 2,500 steps
*10,000 steps = 4 to 5 miles
*one city block is about 200 steps
*most people walk about 1,200 steps in 10 minutes
*2,000 steps burn about 100 calories
*3,500 calories burned a week is 1 lb lost.
*12,000 daily calories are recommended daily unless otherwise directed by your doctor
*anything less than 12,000 calories daily will burn muscle and not fat which results to flab and cause “the rebound affect”

Koziol Design Oscar the

I understand some of the criticism, but does a book have to be a literary masterpiece to be immensely enjoyable? The overwhelming positive reviews explain why not.

It is well researched, but maybe the plot stretched a bit too far at times and low quality dialogues have taken away from the book’s otherwise star quality.

The depression era was well represented, gave a good realistic feel of the troubled times and the people. Circus setting was pure genius, and made it so interesting.

Overall, it is a very enjoyable book, very readable.

Before I purchased this watch, I was always exhausted running outdoors, but could run longer on the treadmill – This watch has allowed me to better pace the speed of the run and as a result run longer and faster. Great Coach – it does not lie!

I’ve used it for a few runs on a parkway with trees and have only been able to get the GPS to work once. Standing the SAME spot two days in a row, and it found satelites after about 5 minutes one day and not at all the second. I haven’t been able to get the heart rate monitor working either, even after changing the battery and making sure the straps are wet. When I did get it working for one of the three runs, I did like the usability and the display. However, it’s pretty much a paperweight if you can’t get the GPS working. It’s great if you run out in the barren plains but forget about nice Midwestern runs along lakes. Buyer beware!

Just wanted to say I ordered this scale several months back and the first one that arrived was defective. I called the customer support number listed and received phenomenal help! They were pleasant to deal with, helped me troubleshoot, and delivered a replacement to me within a week. The replacement has worked fabulously. Nice to know there are still small companies out there with real, live, helpful customer support!
